National Crush Day 2021:
The National Crush Day, also called Crush a Can Day, is always observed on September 27 every year. As in this fastest-growing era, the use of fast food is increasing, as the intake of canned food and energy drinks are also enhancing. That after usage lead to mess and garbage in our environment. Therefore, the idea of National Crush Day was introduced to realize the significance of recycling these cans to make them reusable, clean our environment, and play a contributory role in disposing of junk. The observance of this day also plays a crucial role in reducing global warming and climate change because recycling lowers Carbon dioxide emission that leads to pollution, environmental degradation, and ozone layer depletion.
In this modern era, when everyone is busy in his tough routine, the use of canned food and juices have become inevitable. They are portable and convenient to carry & handle. The history of canned food is very interesting. The origin of cans can be dated back to 1795 when Napolean sanctioned 12,000 francs for a person, who can introduce a convenient and easy way to preserve food for his armed and naval forces. After extreme efforts, Frenchman Nicolas Alpert created the process of sterilization that smoothened and paved a way for canned foods. This process of food preservation gained much coverage and recognition; therefore, just after 9 years, British merchant, Peter Durand, succeeded in gaining a patent from King George III for preserving food in cans. After further fame and publicity, the cans got exposure in the United States Of America. And now, the National Crush Day or Crush a Can Day has become a public holiday. And environmental activities are playing a crucial role in making that day effective and gaining its required results.
They are letting the common people realize that producing a new can from an old one utilizes 90% less energy and emits 90% fewer gases than producing the same can from new material.
On this day, the common masses can also act effectively, and they can make a national crush day more interesting and enjoyable. Every September 27, you can invite your fellows, friends, and family, and you can share novel ideas regarding can recycling with them. You can start a campaign for collecting all the cans from your homes, streets, garbage, and trash. They can be used in waste art. And one thing that is my favorite, and I have practiced it personally. You can use aluminum cans as pots in gardening. You can create your home nursery with these can pots. This step will reveal how much you love to clean your environment, and how much you are interested in reducing global warming. So this is all about the National Crush Day, and how you can make it more effective and worthy.
