National Aunt Day:
The National aunt day is collectively called as National Aunts and uncles day, and it is always observed on July 26. It tributes our aunts and uncles that are the most crucial part of our life after our parents and grandparents. The history of national aunts and uncles day is unclear, but with the passage of time, the event gained significance because it plays a contributory role in wishing our parents’ siblings. That have played a contributory role in our childhood, grooming, and moral cultivation.
Our aunts and uncles, whether from the maternal side or paternal side, sacrifice for us after our parents. They are the mirror image of our parents; they play with us, support us, and accompany us in all the ups and downs. On every success, these are our aunts and uncles, whose wishes increase our happiness many folds. Being trustworthy friends, they occupy a very special place in our hearts. These are the few reasons that pushed us to select a day that could tribute them. So July 26 is the special day that serves the purpose effectively.
Sara Sheridan has beautifully tribute the aunts”An aunt is a safe haven for a child, Someone who will keep your secrets and is always on your side.”
In different families and cultures, these aunts and uncles are respect & value differently because they play an important role throughout your life. When your parents are busy or not available, these aunts and uncles are the only alternatives that replace your parents and take you to fun locations and prove to be your babysitters. They bring parents for you and provide you sincere advice and support in all the difficulties. And if your parents are not alive, these relationships prove to be your second parents.
They play a unique part in a child or adult’s life; the children that spend their childhood in the love and affection of these paternal and maternal aunts and uncles, they exhibit more balanced, strong, loving, and caring personality. They put a positive impact and influence on a child’s personality because sometimes the kids get more relaxed with their aunts and uncles rather than their parents. They play a very crucial role in resolving the teen crisis, mental & physical health issues, breakups, and troubles at schools & workplaces. So children get more comfortable in discussing their sensitive issues. If you memorize your childhood days, the aunts and uncles are the only relatives that invested maximum in you after your parents. If you check your childhood gifts, the maximum number of gifts & presents will be provided by your sweet aunts and uncles. When they are unmarried, you are the apple of their eyes, but when they get married, although their love and affection shift towards their own children and families, yet you still remain a part of their hearts, prayers, and sincere concerns. If your parents are unable to care for their offspring due to due to illness, tough routine, or any other problem, these are the aunts and uncles that step in and protect you from drug addiction, alcohol abuse, and bad company. According to stats 2018 in the United States of America, 4% of children live alone without their parents, 3.1 million children and teenagers live with their grandparents. And approximately, 21% of orphans and lonely children live with their aunts and uncles.
In conclusion, I can say that the presence of aunts and uncles are a very important segment of our life. And due to our personal life and tough routine, sometimes we ignore them. Therefore, the National Aunt and Uncles day was introduced to tribute these paternal and maternal relatives. If you live close to them, you can visit them, arrange a festive party for them, give presents to them, and spend your whole day to make them happy. And if you are away from them, you can wish them by sending a greeting card, a beautiful message, and a poem full of prayers for them. This will let them be happy and further strengthen your relationship with them.
